Mission Outreach

By the power of the Holy Spirit we are sent out to share the reconciliation, peace, and hope we know in Jesus Christ. We offer opportunities to proclaim the love of God through word and deed to our local communities and the world.

We believe that the church must live out a two-legged gospel, a gospel that communicates the love of Jesus Christ through both word and deed. We are called to faithfully worship and study the word, share the gospel, minister to those who are suffering, and thereby experience the abundant life that Jesus promises. "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." (John 10:10)

Adult Missions Trip

Adult Missions Trips

Every fall we have an Adult Missions Trip. For the past two years we have traveled down to New Orleans, Louisiana to help and rebuild the community ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. We have refurbished homes of those who were displaced by this tragedy and have shared the love of God. Our most recent trip to New Orleans was this past November in 2009.

Youth Missions Trip

Youth Mission Trips

Our youth make yearly mission trips during the summer to communities to share the love of Jesus Christ. They do projects including refurbishment of buildings, working with both young children and the elderly, and nightly worship. The youth have always returned filled with the Spirit and inspired to share with the church. Recent trips have been made to South Carolina, Vermont and Ocean City, and New Jersey. We are currently planning out next trip. The youth also make several trips a year to Philadelphia to feed the homeless.

Annual Country Fair

In October of each year, our church and grounds are transformed into a good ol’ Country Fair. We offer great food, crafts, second hand bargains, an auction and our world famous apple butter. All proceeds of the fair are used to support the various missions the church supports.

Our church supports many missions in our community and world including Meals on Wheels, a Woman’s Place, Christ’s Home for Children, Habitat for Humanity, Chester Eastside, and St Francis House in Philadelphia.

Come find new friends, become part of a new family, and make a difference in our community and world. We look forward to meeting you!
